Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Bishopsleigh's locum placement services and website. By using our services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

Services Provided

Bishopsleigh provides locum placement consultancy services, including:

  • Matching locum professionals with healthcare organisations
  • Verification of credentials and documentation
  • Coordination of placement logistics
  • Ongoing support during placements

For Locum Professionals

Registration

To register as a locum professional, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your information and notifying us of any changes.

Credentials and Compliance

You warrant that all credentials, qualifications, and documentation you provide are genuine and current. You are responsible for maintaining valid professional registration, insurance, and any other requirements for your role.

Placement Acceptance

When you accept a placement, you commit to fulfilling the agreed terms. If you need to cancel or modify a placement, you must notify us and the employer as soon as possible.

Professional Conduct

You agree to maintain professional standards and comply with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures of the employing organisation.

For Employers

Placement Requests

When submitting a placement request, you must provide accurate information about the role, requirements, and working conditions.

Verification and Compliance

While we conduct thorough verification checks, the employing organisation remains responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and for making final hiring decisions.

Payment Terms

Payment terms will be agreed upon before placement confirmation. Invoices are typically due within 30 days unless otherwise agreed.

Cancellations

Cancellation terms vary by placement type and timing. Cancellation fees may apply for late cancellations. Specific terms will be outlined in the placement agreement.

Our Role and Limitations

Facilitation Service

Bishopsleigh acts as a placement facilitator. We do not employ locum professionals, and we do not assume the responsibilities of an employer. The employment relationship is between the locum professional and the hiring organisation.

No Guarantees

While we strive to provide quality matches and thorough verification, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes, placement availability, or the performance of any party.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bishopsleigh's liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific placement in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Bishopsleigh or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Confidentiality

All parties agree to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information shared during the placement process, except as required by law or with appropriate consent.

Data Protection

Our handling of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to such processing in accordance with that policy.

Termination

Either party may terminate their relationship with Bishopsleigh at any time, subject to fulfilling existing placement commitments. We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate relationships if these Terms are violated.

Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes will be resolved in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated to active users.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any legal proceedings must be brought in the courts of England and Wales.
